Emery Catherine Slagel (June 16, 2009)

Our daughter has arrived! Emery Catherine Slagel was born Tuesday morning at 10:42 weighing in at a hefty 8 pounds and 11 ounces. She is 19.75 inches long. Surprisingly, Emmy was born with lots of dark hair! I was totally expecting a bald or very blonde baby. I'm sure this hair will fall out, but I am loving it while she has it. Very pretty. Of course Ben and I are biased but we think we have the most perfect baby EVER. Words cannot even describe the love we feel for her. She's incredible. Needless to say, Ben and I are pretty tired but we have lots of help. My parents have been in Greenville since Monday night and Ben's parents arrive tomorrow afternoon. Thank goodness for the wonderful grandparents! Our pantry is stocked, the laundry is done and the pets are taken care of. Thank you!!!!
